One evening, Percy Shaw from England noticed the reflection of his car’s headlights shining in a cat’s eye. Inspired by that small glimmer, he invented a reflector using glass marbles. By cleverly bouncing the headlights’ light, his device created tiny beacons that marked the edges of the road, helping drivers stay safely on course.
Called the “cat’s eye,” this invention still watches over roads worldwide, quietly keeping drivers safe to this day.
