自転車に乗るときにヘルメットを被れば、命を守ることができます。しかし実際は、見た目や使い勝手の悪さから敬遠されがちです。そこでふたりの大学生が、誰もが拒否しないヘルメットデザインに取り組みました。
彼女たちは「見えないヘルメット」というコンセプトを考案し、研究を重ねて製品化。そのヘルメット「HOVDING」は頭にかぶるのでは無く、ネックウォーマーのように首に取り付けるものとなりました。
HOVDINGには高度なモーションセンサーが搭載されており、事故発生時には内蔵エアバッグが瞬時に膨らんで頭部全体を保護します。このエアバッグ式は従来のヘルメットに比べて３倍もの衝撃吸収性に優れる、安全性の高い製品となりました。

Their creation, called “Hövding,” features built-in sensors that instantly detect accidents and deploy an airbag to shield the entire head.
